Prayer of the Week and Instant Bible Study: The Annunciation

Here is the latest Prayer and Study from Father Andrew. To receive 1 credit for this activity, e-mail your response to both Father Andrew, oandrey(at)stlukeorthodox(d0t)com and myself, else10(at)gmail(d0t)com. See the answers next week on the St. Luke Web site.

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy
O Lord we celebrate Your conception, for You took flesh from a pure virgin and became one of us. You became flesh so You could condemn sin so that we who were dead in Adam are now alive in You. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Bible Verse
Luke 1:30-31 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus.

Bible Question

The Theotokos is the model for us. We are to accept the Holy Spirit and deliver Christ to the world.
