Prayer of the Week and BIble Study: James 5:15

Here is this week's prayer and Bible study of the week! You can receive one credit for this activity. Simply answer the question and e-mail your response to Father Andrew (oandrey-at-aol-dot-com) and Else Tennessen (else10-at-gmail-dot-com).

Prayer

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy.

O Lord we are grieving the loss of one of our dear members. We read in Your holy Gospel how your brought back to life the son of the widow. This reveals to us that You have power over life and death. You will raise us up to eternal life. Help us, O Lord, to be righteous so our prayers will save the sick and they will be raised on the last day. We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Bible Text: James 5:15

And the prayer of faith shall save him that is sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, it shall be forgiven him.
