Learning About the Church Podcasts

Here are some informative podcasts about our Church and our Liturgy. You can earn a credit or two for listening to each podcast. Simply fill out the podcast worksheet and return it to else10(at)gmail(d0t)com.

On Theologically Thinking, we will hear the Words originally written by Fr. Stanley Harakas, for the Nation Herald’s The “Whats and Whys” of our Church. This week we take a closer look at "The Secret Prayers of the Liturgy." Listen now.

On OCN's Worship in Spirit and Truth, join Dr. Demetrios Katos, as he explores the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, and helps you more fully appreciate what's going on in Church on Sunday morning. Listen now.

And on Come Receive the Light: Why do we need sermons in addition to our services? Fr. Alexander Goussetis offers his argument about the role of the sermon in the Church, both historically and in modern times. Click here to order Fr. Goussetis' new book, Seed for the Sower: Preaching Matters from the Holy Cross Bookstore. We’ll also be joined by Fr. Timothy Chrapko of St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Alberta, Canada, as he talks about his personal memories of being ordained, along with explaining the main sections of this sacrament. Listen now.
